Adhesive Bathroom Shelf
Adhesive Bathroom Shelf
Many of us have a poky downstairs shower room or a bathroom that just isn't big enough for our family's needs. In fact, one survey suggests the average person uses between nine and 15 personal care products every day, so the number of tubes, tubs and bottles kept in this room (plus towels, cleaning products and spare loo rolls) can quickly add up.
You could always install some shelves to hold all of your bits and bobs, but if you don't want to drill holes in your tiles (like if you're renting, for example) this might not be an option. Fortunately, there are lots of small bathroom storage ideas that don't require any installation whatsoever, so you can enjoy a far less stressful space in seconds.
We've outlined some of our favourite small bathroom storage ideas below.
Use your doors
You could install a wall-mounted towel rack but, really, in small bathrooms that space could be better used for keeping your spare loo rolls or stash of beauty products tidy. The door makes a perfectly good spot instead.

Use the shower walls
Stop precariously balancing all of your family's shampoo bottles around the edge of the bath! These suction cup shower organisers fix firmly to the wall (it sounds like it won't work, but I have these ones and have had no trouble with them) or you can hook some over the top of your shower screen instead.
If this set up won't work for you, use a tension rod with baskets tucked in the corner of your shower instead. I have this OXO one and I don't know what I did without it. The quality is great and, despite being a no-drill piece, it fits securely in place and feels very sturdy. I share the bathroom with two others and it easily fits all of our various bottles, scrubs and razors — and it only took a minute or two to install. Self-adhesive hooks are also great for hanging flannels, razors and scrubbing brushes on.

Rework your sink space
If you don't have a built-in cabinet, the area around your sink can get messy quickly – especially if you have a pedestal sink without a cupboard below. Luckily, there are inexpensive storage units that slot neatly around the pedestal to give you space to keep your bits and bobs without having to clutter up the basin.
Another good small bathroom storage idea is to tuck a slimline cabinet to the side of your sink for make-up, medicines or cleaning products. The top shelf can be used as a plant or candle stand to add a bit of flair, leaving the top of the basin free for your hand soap and toothbrush. If you've got a really tiny sink, fix a self-adhesive shelf to the wall for these items instead.

Fix up your drawers
If you do have drawer space, another handy small bathroom storage idea is to purchase a couple of turntables. These help to stop you from having to root around inside to find the right product. A larger spinning organiser like this works especially well for makeup, while traditional turntables are good for cleaning products. A set of bins like this will keep spare hand towels, loo rolls and personal care products you have stockpiled tidy.
